Tacticsboard used by CBS in Hawaii-Five-O
Tacticsboard is to get a cameo role in season 2 of the hollywood hit series Hawaii-Five-O.

Episode 5 called Ma'ema'e where the Five-0 team is investigating the murder of a volleyball coach who during a scene uses Tacticsboard to run through drills with a womens volleyball team on a tablet.

The request from the production team came in just two weeks before shooting the scene in Honolulu. "We had to pull out all the stops to get the volleyball Tacticsboard production ready"
Carl Miller - Technical Director.

The volleyball Tacticsboard, which was originally planned to be released at the end of the 2011 was instantly given priority when the request came in from Sarena Rios Flores of CBS, and put forward just for this episode.

We already had a basic arena for the volleyball Tacticsboard created so once the lighting was positioned inside the model it was just a case of rendering the 2D and 3D canvases so they looked just right. We then had to focus on getting the character model right, so with the help from several professional volleyball coaches based in the States we were able to position the player models just right and finish the Tacticsboard in time for filming.

Then a couple of days before the scene was shot, we gave the graphics team a run through of how Tacticsboard worked (which they picked up straight away).

Overall, the experience was good and we have already been approached by other film crews to use Tacticsboard in their productions.

CBS productions are due to screen Episode 5 in mid October, and as soon as we get the media once the editing is finished we'll publish some screenshots of the scenes were Tacticsboard is used.
